DJI Mavic Air 2 won’t turn ON/OFF – Troubleshooting

If the above standard turning ON & OFF procedure didn’t work out for you, we have a problem. If you are one of them, here is what my research tells me.

Most users reported that the drone or remote controller stopped turning on/off after some months of use.

This indicates a hardware problem with the button. Buttons are soldered to the PCB board and it seems like the Mavic Air 2 assembly line has some inherent fault that ends up soldering the button insecurely.

After some time, the soldering detaches and the button stops working.

In such a case, the best way to solve this is to either return the drone to DJI for repair or get it repaired from your local electronics shop.

If you are a DIY person, you can do it yourself too. This DJI Mavic Air 2 tear down will help you out.
